3 Relationship components

Relationships have 3 major components that need to be evaluated and play a major role in the success of such relationships.  You have to consider your mate as #1 The person #2 The friend #3 The lover.

The analysis of the person includes who they are... how good of a mother/father they are, their spiritual/religious beliefs, their code, their character.  The analysis of the friend includes how they treat you and others, their level of selflessness, their commitment strength, and 'loyalty' beyond bond status.  The analysis of the lover includes their relationship maturity, romance, role knowledge, and ability to love/be loved.

You HAVE to know what is most important to you in order to land the best candidate.  Example:  Good Man/Woman, Great Friend, and Terrible Lover could be one person's dream, yet another person's nightmare.  If you remove yourself from individualizing characteristics desired, and fill buckets categorically, you will improve your selections and potentially improve your relationship(s), via realistic expectations.  LOFT

Support

People have a belief that allowing someone to partake in their desired activity is being supportive.  In actuality, support requires willingness, openness, and action (upon request).  Support is NOT bitching, complaining, and eventually giving in, because "I support you because I love you."  Support is an actual belief in another and participation in success building, up to and including financial backing.

Lack of support continues to be a major component of frustration, conflict, failure, and oftentimes, quitting.  Anyone who claims to not need support is in denial.  There is no profession, career, or relationship imaginable that one can prosper in without some level of assistance, motivation, or back patting.  If you are in a position to support someone, take ownership of their activity and be a part of it... help it succeed, instead of making it improbable with your resistance and dramatics.  If you NEED the support of others, come correct... don't half ass your work, provide substandard service, or alienate yourself from those you need.  Support can and will be the difference between you (or your loved one) climbing over the hump, or laying across it.  LOFT
