Holding Yourself Back

The objective in life as a professional is to grow and advance.  Oftentimes, people block their own advancement due to not receiving an offer they feel they deserve or what they envisioned, consequently standing in their own way of growth.  People have to realize that a promotion with no pay increase is certainly not the mission, but a promotion with less of an increase than desired- can still be a great move.  One should absolutely aim to fly high, but should never crawl down low when they could be marching in the middle.  If you are making $40,000 and feel like you should make $60,000 at the next level, an offer of $50,000 should not be a deal breaker.  Why holdout when there is ALWAYS someone with equal or greater aptitude that would love that same oppurtunity?  There is a major misconception that acceptance of lesser terms is settling, but in reality- increases or upgrades in pay, responsibility, and title are all improvements to professional status and ultimately bridges to continued growth.  Upward mobility is the curve of professional satisfaction... don't allow pride or complacency to be the self created blocks of success.  LOFT

Morals

People claim to have morals yet are impacted by every fad, every trend, every societal shift, and every slick line of game.  True morals aren't to be penetrated by outside influence.  They are foundational.  They are meaningful to the spirit.  They are permanent values that assist growth- from the core.  People HAVE to believe in something that is deeper than temporary satisfaction or fraudulent misrepresentation.  When you have and believe in these morals which fulfill code, instincts, intuition, and wisdom will guide you, instead of being a puppet of circumstances and non-credible information.  Live by your internal truths, anything else is fiction.

Addition by Subtraction

People are beyond afraid of change and losing someone familiar.  They feel as if they've built a history and that history isn't expendable.  That is absurd.  If someone or something is causing you extreme grief or has been holding you back for years, you have to learn to let them or it go.  The principle is 'Addition by Subtraction'.  Some do not understand this, but it is basic math.  If you subtract a negative, you in turn get more positive...  (-5) - (-6) = +1.  Translation... when you are 5 steps behind your growth path and are being 'loyal' to someone 6 steps behind their growth path- if you eliminate that person, you are ONE UP on your future.  The proof is in the formula and once you wise up, you will find better peace internally and your surrounding associations will become better as well.  Be positively happier by discarding worse negativity.  LOFT

Heartbreak

People treat heartbreak as if life ends afterwards. Heartbreak is necessary to achieve all greatness- including love, success, parenting, you name it. Until you lose something of great significance or are disappointed to the most severe level of humanity, you never learn to appreciate the blessings that surface from the suffering. Good news is that once you suffer to those extremes, your character is amplified with perseverance, wisdom, and recovery. The depths of those characteristics are to prepare you for greater bonds, a better position, a clearer purpose. The common mistake made is to fold and turn cold, but the growth from the pain is pure proof of greater fruit. Allow no one or nothing to take your sky. FLY! LOFT
